Robert Lynn Nast, 84, of Batesville, AR, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. He was born on December 13, 1937, in Batesville, AR, to Vancil C. Nast and Alma O. (Carpenter) Nast. Robert loved fishing and flying. He enjoyed reading his Bible and attending church for twenty-five years at Ruddell Hill Baptist Church. Above all else, he was a good husband and protected his family at all costs.
He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Crystal (Wheeler) Nast; sons, Michael Steven Nast and Chris Lee Nast; daughters, Elizabeth Ellen Strong and Lisa Anne McGowen; sister, Peggy Joann Huff; grandchildren, Autumn Elizabeth Strong, Ashley Ellen Strong, Shelley Lynn Betz, Robert Michael Nast, Christopher Lee Nast, Brittney Nast, and Matthew Nathan McGowen; and many great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Rudolph Nast and Jesse (Vancil) Nast and P. D. and Grace Carpenter; his parents; previous wife, Elizabeth (Cuzzort) Nast; daughter, Tracy Lynn Nast; and brother, Vancil Dexter Nast.
There will be a Graveside Memorial Service at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville, AR on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at 2 PM.
