
Fire crews in Baxter County battled a blaze Sunday night at the Tracy Ferry Marina on Norfork Lake.
Authorities report around 26 boats were damaged in the fire. A social media post from the marina said one of the docks was “almost completely consumed by the fire.”
Mountain Home news outlet KTLO said no injuries were reported in the fire. (Click here for the story from KTLO.)
Jonesboro television station KAIT reported a Baxter County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher confirmed a boat caught fire near the marina. The dispatcher said one person was on the boat when it caught fire. (Click here for the story from KAIT.)
A social media post from the Tracy Area Fire Department said first responders to the blaze included fire departments from Tracy, Gamaliel, Salesville, Henderson, Mountain Home, and Norfork.
The department also said officials from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas Game and Fish, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers responded to the scene.
