Elma Jean Vickers, 79, of Long Beach, California passed away on June 24, 2022.
Elma was born June 15, 1943 in Compton, California to Elmer and Janna Gesena (Bobbink) Slikker.
Elma loved her family, growing beautiful flowers and collecting rabbits. She volunteered at her children’s elementary school where the students loved her. She was a talented baker and made beautiful crocheted blankets. She and Gerald loved camping in their RV.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Gerald Vickers; two daughters, Tammy Smith (Barry), and Brenda Lucsik (Chris); six grandchildren, Sydney Calaway, Madison Smith, Hayden Lucsik, Ethan Lucsik, Gavin Lucsik and Ogden Lucsik and one great-grandson, Franklin Lucsik.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ellen Vickers; her parents, Elmer and Janna Slikker and her brother, Albert Slikker.
Services will be Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 11 am at the Roller-Crouch Chapel in Batesville with Rev. Barry Smith officiating. Burial will follow to York Cemetery in Marcella, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.
