Janie Sue Evans, 74, of Tuckerman departed this life on Friday, July 1, 2022. She was born October 16, 1947, to R.A. and Oleta Jewel (Stacy) Griffin.
Janie attended Tuckerman United Methodist Church. She loved camping and being outdoors near the water. She had beautiful roses that she loved taking care of. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. Her greatest love was taking care of children, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, William (Bill)Evans; and her sister, Marilyn Hill.
She is survived by her daughters, Stacy Wagner and husband Randy of Grubbs and Angela Haskett of Tuckerman; her sister, Sharon Gardner of Jonesboro; her grandchildren, Stephen Haskett of Tuckerman, Callie Wagner Talley and Husband Trent of Jonesboro, Will Wagner of Grubbs; her great-grandchildren, Addison Talley and Griffin Talley.
The memorial service will be at 11:00 on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Tuckerman United Methodist Church with Brother John Noggle officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time.
