Obituary: Blaine Blakley

Blaine Blakley entered Heaven Saturday, August 6, 2022, at UAMS in Little Rock, at 21 years of age after a hard and graceful fight with cancer.

Blaine was born November 19, 2000, during deer season and four days before Thanksgiving, in Batesville to Ron Blakley and Mendy Craft.

He was a calf roper, team roper, hunter and fisherman. Blaine enjoyed working at Bad Boy Mowers and was a graduate of BHS 2019.

Survivors include his parents, Mendy and Nathan Craft and Ron and Karen Blakley; two sisters, Brianna Blakley and Aspyn Craft; step-sister, Riley Lawson; step-brother, Hunter Lawson; maternal grandparents, Terry and Kay Jarrett of Charlotte; paternal grandparents, Larry Blakley of Batesville and Diane and Duane Meador of Batesville; step-grandparents, Bea Jackson of Forrest City and Ken and Karen Craft of Batesville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers are Jake Penn, Clay Shaw, Sam Vanemburg, Sam Mack, Kyler Epperson and Zach Griffin. Honorary pallbearers are Seth Salter, Bryce Brokaw, Parker McMahan, John Todd Stalker, Caleb Blakley, Justin Lewallen, Luke Blakley, Matthew Blakley, Heath Bishop, Brayden Perkey, Brody Medlock, Brady Greenfield, Jaron Landcaster, Hayden Childers and Grayson Melton.

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at West Baptist Church with Brother Cory Majors officiating. Burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery in Charlotte under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until service begins on Saturday at the church.

Special thank you to our community, surrounding communities, churches, Rodeo Association, family and friends and Bad Boy Mowers who prayed continuously and supported us with numerous blessings to count during this time. It will never be forgotten or taken for granted. Also want to thank Blaine’s oncology team at UAMS, Dr. Muthu Veeraputhiran, his staff and partners and the oncology nurses at UAMS in halls E, H, and F for your loving care and spiritual support through his treatments.
