The Batesville Area Arts Council is pleased to present two new exhibitions at the BAAC Gallery on Main (226 E Main St), March 10 – April 24, 2026. Us and Them, an exhibition by Anna Zusman, is on display in our main gallery, and Treasure Signs, by Brian Wolf is featured in our Community Gallery. These exhibitions are sponsored by Batesville Printing.
Join us for a closing reception on Friday, April 24, from 5 – 7 p.m., with brief artist talks beginning at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free and open to the public.
Anna Zusman’s project, Us and Them, examines how people divide the world into “us” and “them.” The work reflects people’s tendency to see the good in their own communities while focusing on the problems in others. Zusman encourages viewers to “become more conscious of the ways we divide the world, to notice the positive aspects in others’ ‘houses,’ and to acknowledge the challenges within our own.”
In Treasure Signs, Brian Wolf created images depicting his own personal symbols, which help him connect to his inner world. These strange characters and their interactions come to life in layered color pencil drawing, flat acrylic paintings, or assembled with ceramic and found objects.
