DESCRIPTION:BAAC offers beginner-friendly collage workshop led by Lyon student\nThe Batesville Area Arts Council (BAAC) invites the community to explore the art of visual storytelling during an upcoming collage workshop at BAAC’s Work/Shop on Main on Saturday\, April 11\, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.  \nThis hands-on session will be  led by Lyon College student Cari Meeks. Participants will learn foundational collage techniques\, including how to create balanced compositions\, selecting compelling images\, and build depth through layering. Participants will leave the workshop with a completed art collage. DESCRIPTION:Ozarka College invites the community to experience the creativity and cultural richness of its annual Tour D’ Art event\, returning this year with the inspiring theme\, “Destination Art.” The event will be held on Thursday\, April 23\, 2026\, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the John E. Miller Education Complex. \nOriginally launched in 2012 by the Friends of the Paul Weaver Library\, Tour D’ Art was created to celebrate and promote the arts throughout the region. Over the years\, the event has grown into a vibrant showcase featuring a diverse collection of artists from within the Ozarka College family\, local schools\, and surrounding communities. \nThe Friends of the Paul Weaver Library remain dedicated to advancing art appreciation\, recognizing its profound educational and cultural benefits. DESCRIPTION:New Exhibitions featuring Anna Zusman & Brian Wolf\nThe Batesville Area Arts Council is pleased to present two new exhibitions at the BAAC Gallery on Main (226 E Main St)\, March 10 – April 24\, 2026. Us and Them\, an exhibition by Anna Zusman\, is on display in our main gallery\, and Treasure Signs\, by Brian Wolf is featured in our Community Gallery. These exhibitions are sponsored by Batesville Printing. \nJoin us for a closing reception on Friday\, April 24\, from 5 – 7 p.m.\, with brief artist talks beginning at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free and open to the public. \nAnna Zusman’s project\, Us and Them\, examines how people divide the world into “us” and “them.” The work reflects people’s tendency to see the good in their own communities while focusing on the problems in others. Zusman encourages viewers to “become more conscious of the ways we divide the world\, to notice the positive aspects in others’ ‘houses\,’ and to acknowledge the challenges within our own.” \nIn Treasure Signs\, Brian Wolf created images depicting his own personal symbols\, which help him connect to his inner world. These strange characters and their interactions come to life in layered color pencil drawing\, flat acrylic paintings\, or assembled with ceramic and found objects.  \nGallery Hours: \nTuesday – Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  \nSaturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. \nReception: \nFriday\, April 24\, 5-7 p.m. (Artist talks at 6 p.m.)
