Building a career and making a positive impact can go hand in hand, and Lyon College will explore that idea at its next faculty colloquium on Friday, April 24, at 4 p.m. in Nucor Auditorium in the Lyon Business and Economics Building on the Batesville campus, 2300 Highland Rd.
Dr. Peter Staples, assistant professor of business and economics, will present a lecture titled “Making a Difference While Making a Living: Discovering Social Entrepreneurship.”
The lecture is free and open to the public.
Dr. Staples’ talk will focus on social entrepreneurship and how people can use business ideas to address community needs. He will share examples and discuss practical ways to think about business as a tool for positive change.
The faculty colloquium series highlights the work of Lyon College faculty and invites the campus and community to take part in academic conversations.
