SUMMARY:Summer Art Workshop Series
DESCRIPTION:Independence County Library Invites Young Artists to Summer Art Workshop Series\n\n The Independence County Library is excited to announce its Summer Art Workshop Series\, a creative program designed to inspire imagination\, encourage self-expression\, and provide hands-on artistic fun for children ages 5–18.\nParticipants will have the opportunity to explore a variety of art projects during three workshop sessions scheduled for June 11\, June 25\, and July 9 at 2:00 p.m. Each workshop will offer children and teens a chance to experiment with different art techniques\, create unique projects\, and discover the joy of making something all their own.\nInspired by this year’s Summer Reading Program theme\, “Unearth a Story\,” the workshops will encourage participants to dig deep into their creativity while connecting art with imagination and storytelling. Whether a child is an experienced artist or simply enjoys crafting and creating\, the workshops are designed to be welcoming\, engaging\, and fun for all skill levels.\nA local parent shared their enthusiasm for the program\, saying\, “Creative programs like these are such a valuable opportunity for children. My kids love making art\, and I appreciate activities that encourage imagination\, learning\, and hands-on fun in a positive environment.”\nSpace for the workshops is limited\, and registration is required. Families are encouraged to reserve their spots early by calling the Independence County Library at (870) 793-8814.\nThe Summer Art Workshop Series is part of the Independence County Library’s summer programming designed to promote creativity\, learning\, and community engagement for children and teens throughout the season.\nFor more information about the Summer Art Workshop Series or other upcoming Summer Reading Program events\, contact the Independence County Library at (870) 793-8814 or visit the library’s Facebook page.

SUMMARY:Interactive Archaeology Program
DESCRIPTION:Independence County Library Partners with Jacksonport State Park for Interactive Archaeology Program\n\nThe Independence County Library is excited to welcome representatives from Jacksonport State Park for an engaging and educational archaeology program on Thursday\, June 18\, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the third floor of the library.\nDesigned for children of all ages\, this interactive presentation will introduce participants to the fascinating world of archaeology and the ways archaeologists uncover clues about the past. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to explore history together while having fun.”\nThe program is free and open to the public.
