SUMMARY:Tour D’ Art 2026: “Destination Art”
DESCRIPTION:Ozarka College invites the community to experience the creativity and cultural richness of its annual Tour D’ Art event\, returning this year with the inspiring theme\, “Destination Art.” The event will be held on Thursday\, April 23\, 2026\, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the John E. Miller Education Complex. \nOriginally launched in 2012 by the Friends of the Paul Weaver Library\, Tour D’ Art was created to celebrate and promote the arts throughout the region. Over the years\, the event has grown into a vibrant showcase featuring a diverse collection of artists from within the Ozarka College family\, local schools\, and surrounding communities. \nThe Friends of the Paul Weaver Library remain dedicated to advancing art appreciation\, recognizing its profound educational and cultural benefits. Research and experience continue to show that involvement in the arts supports improvements in math and reading skills\, enhances cognitive ability and concentration\, and builds confidence and cultural awareness. \n“Tour D’ Art is more than an exhibition—it’s a celebration of creativity and community\,” said Dan Lindsey\, Librarian. “We are proud to provide a space where artists and the public can come together to experience the transformative power of art.” \nThe event is open to the public\, and all are encouraged to attend and support the arts in our community. \nFor more information about Tour D’ Art\, please contact Dan Lindsey at 870-368-2055.

SUMMARY:Anna Zusman & Brian Wolf Reception
DESCRIPTION:New Exhibitions featuring Anna Zusman & Brian Wolf\nThe Batesville Area Arts Council is pleased to present two new exhibitions at the BAAC Gallery on Main (226 E Main St)\, March 10 – April 24\, 2026. Us and Them\, an exhibition by Anna Zusman\, is on display in our main gallery\, and Treasure Signs\, by Brian Wolf is featured in our Community Gallery. These exhibitions are sponsored by Batesville Printing. \nJoin us for a closing reception on Friday\, April 24\, from 5 – 7 p.m.\, with brief artist talks beginning at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free and open to the public. \nAnna Zusman’s project\, Us and Them\, examines how people divide the world into “us” and “them.” The work reflects people’s tendency to see the good in their own communities while focusing on the problems in others. Zusman encourages viewers to “become more conscious of the ways we divide the world\, to notice the positive aspects in others’ ‘houses\,’ and to acknowledge the challenges within our own.” \nIn Treasure Signs\, Brian Wolf created images depicting his own personal symbols\, which help him connect to his inner world. These strange characters and their interactions come to life in layered color pencil drawing\, flat acrylic paintings\, or assembled with ceramic and found objects.  \nGallery Hours: \nTuesday – Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  \nSaturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. \nReception: \nFriday\, April 24\, 5-7 p.m. (Artist talks at 6 p.m.)

Brunch will be at 9:00 am  and the convention will start at 10:00 a.m. The meeting is open to the public and Democrats in the area are encouraged to attend this important event. \nOverview of County Conventions County conventions are statutory meetings of all precinct delegates within a county\, organized as part of the party’s Basic Political Organizational Unit (BPOU).
