newsbackground-1-61

An arrest warrant has been issued for an Independence County woman who, while being transferred from district court to jail, was found to be in possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to introduce meth or cocaine into the human body.

Since the drugs and paraphernalia were found on her body as she was being placed in jail, she was also charged with furnishing prohibited articles into a lockup.

44-year-old Tammy Renee Vanwinkle was being placed in jail on a “hold” for Judge Chaney Taylor, after she failed a “drug test.”

Vanwinkle’s bond has been set at $10,000.
