White River Medical Center (WRMC) has announced the 2018 Employee of the Year.

Lavern Treadway, from the environmental service department, is the White River Medical Center 2018 Employee of the Year, according to a press release from WRMC.

Treadway was the May Employee of the Month as the representative of Environmental Focus, one of the five PRIDE (Personal Responsibility in Delivering Excellence) standards. PRIDE standards are the guiding principles of customer service for White River Health System facilities. Employees select an overall Employee of the Year from the Employee of the Month winners. The PRIDE standards are Prompt Service, Respect, Involved, Demeanor, and Environmental Focus, according to the release.

Treadway is described by co-workers as “kind, caring and compassionate,” as well as “a joy to be around and an asset to White River Medical Center.”

The Employee of the Year was revealed at a dinner honoring Employees of the Month. In addition to Treadway, those also honored include; Amanda Whitaker, executive assistant; Debbie Mitchell, third floor nursing; Bailey Williams, CommHealth coordinator; Jenny Callahan, oncology nurse navigator; Kenneth “Kenny” Dingman, electrician; Tyler Johnson, medical technologist; Cathy Loggains, lead biller; Melinda Parker, clinical educator; Amy Finster, clinic dietician; Andrew Mullins, computer operations specialist; and Julie Dozer, medical assistant.

The WRMC Employees of the Month are also nominated by their peers for best demonstrating a PRIDE standard.
