During a Sept. 24 session of Stone County Circuit Court, Judge Tim Weaver accepted a negotiated plea from Barton L. Ryman (pictured above), 44. Ryman had been charged in December of 2013 with five counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing sexually explicit images, and one count of sexual indecency with a child. At the time, the child was under the age of 10.
Judge Weaver sentenced Ryman to seven years in prison on each charge, to run concurrently. Ryman was also fined $2,500 plus court costs. Ryman was given credit for 199 days spent in jail awaiting his trial or plea.

In another case, Charles J. Youngberg (pictured above), 39, was sentenced to a year in the county jail with three months suspended on a negotiated plea of guilty. The charges were hindering apprehension and fleeing from authorities. He was also fined $1,500 plus court costs. Youngberg was given credit for 214 days already served in jail awaiting the negotiated plea to be finalized.
