Obituary: Oma Lee Bridgman

Oma Lee Scroggins Bridgman, 93 of Desha died Monday, Dec. 9, 2019. She was born August 22, 1926, in Melrose, Arkansas to James and Alma Alberta Gibbs Scroggins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Southside Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lindsey Bridgman; two brothers, Edward Osroe Scroggins and Uncle Gene Scroggins and a great-grandson, Jasper Blaine Johnson.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Lynne Bridgman of Batesville; four sons, Gary Wayne Bridgman of Desha, Johnny Stephen Bridgman (Nancy) of Birmingham, Alabama, Teddy Lee Bridgman (Lettie) of Enterprise, Alabama and Freddy Lynn Bridgman (Kim) of Floral; 22 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the Southside Church of Christ with Bill Cline and Jared Bridgman officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jason Bridgman, Aaron Bridgman, John Scott Humphrey, Adam Bridgman, Matt Bridgman, Johnny Gilpatrick and Michael Garcia.

Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
