Batesville-based Citizens Bank has announced the promotion of Landon Downing to assistant vice president, treasury management officer.

Downing joined Citizens Bank in 2017, starting in the retail sector before stepping into his role in treasury sales management in 2019. With the new title of assistant vice president, Downing will continue to build relationships with Citizens Bank customers while serving the north central and northwest Arkansas communities.

“Landon’s promotion to assistant vice president is well deserved. He has shown exponential growth in his skills and expertise in the last three years,” said Anastasia Blaylock, Citizens Bank senior vice president treasury management director. “He embodies Citizen Bank’s mission to put people first by always prioritizing the needs of his customers, teammates, and the bank.”

Downing has a passion for his community and currently serves as a member of the steering committee for IMPACT Independence County, planning and zoning commissioner for the City of Batesville, and a member of NOMADS outdoor recreation and conservation group.

“As an officer and member of our treasury management team, I’m constantly empowered to exercise Citizens Bank’s mission and put the needs of the community first,” said Downing. “I am grateful for the opportunity to step into this new role and continue to carry out Citizen Bank’s mission.”

Downing received a bachelor’s of arts degree and graduated cum laude at Lyon College in Batesville. He and his wife, Madelyn, live in Batesville.
