Francis Donald “Buzz” Hammer, 57, passed away on April 26, 2026. Born on February 20, 1969, in Oxnard, California, Buzz later made his home in Arkansas, where he built a life full of independence, loyalty, and lasting friendships.

Buzz was born to Don Hammer and Arlene Carr, both of whom preceded him in death.

Known for his strong spirit and unmistakable personality, Buzz lived life on his own terms. He had a deep love for derby cars, motorcycles, welding, cold beer, and—most importantly—the friendships he built along the way. Whether working with his hands or spending time with those closest to him, he created memories that will not be forgotten. Buzz also held a special place in his heart as “Uncle Buzzy” to Chelsie, Faera, Delilah, and Charliegh. He treated them with kindness, laughter, and care throughout their childhood, creating a bond they will always cherish. Buzz had a deep love for dogs, especially his faithful companion, Bullet, who was always by his side. Buzz shared a special bond with his closest friends, Bruce Hamilton, Gary Ransdell Jr., Jose Quinones, Vincent & Michael Hamilton, and Corinna Owens, who stood by him through the years and became his family.

He will be remembered for his free-spirited nature, his loyalty, and the way he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Buzz will be deeply missed.
