Alice Gwendolyn (Cullins) Elumbaugh, 96, of Batesville, Arkansas, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026.

She was born on November 20, 1929, in Jamestown, Arkansas, to Boyce and Elizabeth (James) Cullins.

Alice was a beloved woman whose life was marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a joyful spirit that touched everyone who knew her.

She was a longtime resident of her community and lived a life centered on the people and places she loved most. Alice retired from International Shoe Factory after more than 30 years of dedicated service, and her strong work ethic and steady presence were admired by all who knew her. She approached her work with commitment and pride, and she carried those same qualities into every part of her life. Her years at the factory reflected not only her perseverance but also the dependable and gracious nature that defined her.

Alice found great happiness in the simple pleasures of life and in the company of those she loved. One of her favorite places was Greers Ferry Lake, where countless memories were made with family and friends. The lake held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the laughter, fellowship, and treasured moments shared there over the years. She especially loved water skiing and continued doing so until she was in her 80s, a testament to her energy, determination, and love of life. She also took great joy in helping teach many family members and friends how to ski, creating memories that will be remembered for generations.

Her home and kitchen were also places of warmth and welcome. Alice enjoyed gardening and took pride in tending to the things she grew. She found satisfaction in watching her garden flourish and in sharing the fruits of her labor with others. Cooking for family outings was another of her many joys, and she was known for preparing meals that brought everyone together around the table. Her food, like her presence, made gatherings feel complete and left lasting impressions on those fortunate enough to enjoy them.

Alice will be remembered for her loving heart, her lively spirit, and the many ways she enriched the lives of others. She had a gift for making ordinary moments feel special, and she created a legacy of love through the memories she helped build with her family and friends. Her strength, independence, and warmth were evident throughout her life, and she leaves behind a beautiful example of how to live with grace and purpose.

Those who knew Alice will remember her fondly for her kindness, her sense of fun, and her devotion to the people and activities that brought her joy.
