Doris Katherine Tate Apple Bullard, 71 of Locust Grove passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was born November 13, 1950, in Lepanto, Arkansas to Willie and Dorothy Tate. She was retired from Future Fuel Chemical Company in Batesville and was a volunteer at the White River Medical Center for two years. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Southside. She loved gardening, her flowers and fishing. She truly loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all the rest of her huge family. She also loved her special dog, Jackie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Donnie Apple, Marlin Bullard and Ben Wiggins; a brother, Lester Tate and a grandson Johnny Kirk.
Survivors include one son, Dennie Apple (Shelly Hamilton Mason) of Southside; one daughter, Louann Kirk (Dale) of Locust Grove; six brothers, Chester Tate (Corrine), Carl Tate (Jane), Robert Tate (Beverly), Walter Tate (Cathy) and Ernest Tate (Debbie) all of the Hutchinson Mountain Community and Willie Joe Tate (Georgena) of Batesville; three sisters, Lola Burba (Larry) of Cave City, and Effie Stewart (Len) and Flossie Reynolds (Mike) both of the Hutchinson Mountain Community; five grandchildren, D.J. Apple, Dustin Huckabee, Evyn Huckabee, Austin Apple and Jody Kirk; several great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 6, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church at Southside with Bro. Troy Sharp and Bro. Josh Yowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Egner Cemetery near Salado with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
Pallbearers will be D.J. Apple, Dustin Huckabee, Evyn Huckabee, Austin Apple, Jody Kirk and Dale Kirk.
Honorary pallbearers will be her brothers.
