Carolyn (Thompson) Skaggs of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, July 29, 2022, at the age of 67. She was born August 13, 1954, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, the daughter of Roy and Lucille (Morgan) Thompson.
She was a graduate of Weiner High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching soap operas, listening to 80’s music, and walking everywhere. Ms. Skaggs loved cats and feeding the squirrels in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, J.W. Thompson, Roy Allen Thompson, and Rayburn Thompson; and two sisters, Geraldine Maxum, and Shirley Hurst.
She is survived by one son, Josh Skaggs of Swifton; one daughter, Jamie Thomas and husband, John of Tuckerman; one sister, Jolyne Raines of Grubbs; six grandchildren, Kayle, William, Daniel, Samuel, and Jayce Thomas, and Kaden Wallace; four great-grandchildren, Draven, Iris, Rodney, III, and Aubrey; many nieces and nephews and friends.
Memorial services will be at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel at a time to be announced.
