Tammy Jo Prichard, beloved wife, nanna, sister, and a great friend to many, passed away on April 27, 2024, at the age of 62. Tammy was born November 18, 1961, to Don Ray and Reba Jo Nelson, who preceded her in death. She married Jimmy Prichard on July 21, 1979.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Prichard, one daughter, Marcy, her granddaughter, Miranda Sutterfield, her son-in-law, Earl Sutterfield, and a grandson, Dakota McConnell. She will be missed by too many to name, and many are those waiting to greet her on the other side.
Tammy loved her family, her friends, her horses, and her dogs. She was a perfect balance of contradictions: strong but kind, tough but loving, amicable but stubborn. The surest way to get anything accomplished was to tell her that she couldn’t do it. She approached life with acceptance, loyalty, humor, and an irrepressible optimism. She taught many of those around her to enjoy and appreciate the simple things in life and to celebrate others’ joys and accomplishments, no matter how seemingly small or insignificant.
She was never one for tears or long goodbyes. So, thank you, Tammy, for your wisdom, love, and patience. We will always love you, and we’ll see you in every new colt and every good ride.
