Those interested in launching a career in agriculture will have a chance to take the next step this week at an open house hosted by the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville.
The college will hold a Farm and Ranch Management (FARM) Program Open House on Thursday, April 23, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the UACCB Gateway Center, located at 2210 E. Main Street across from the soccer fields.
The event is designed to help prospective students explore the FARM program and get fully enrolled in one visit. Attendees will be able to tour the program, apply on-site, and receive their class schedules before leaving.
Organizers say the open house is ideal for anyone considering a future in agriculture, whether they are just beginning to explore options or are ready to enroll for the fall semester.
In addition to hands-on guidance through the enrollment process, UACCB officials highlighted that full scholarships are available for the upcoming FARM class, allowing qualifying students to attend at no cost.
The event is free and open to the public, and community members are encouraged to bring friends or family who may be interested in agricultural careers.
For those ready to “grow their future,” Thursday’s event offers a one-stop opportunity to get started.
