Rachel Ethridge, 48, of Tuckerman, passed from this life on May 10, 2026. She was born August 4, 1977, in Newport, to Leslie Wayne Hartsell and Sherry (Thornton) Glasgow.
Rachel worked as a librarian at the Jackson County School District, where her quiet compassion, patience, and love of learning touched the lives of many. She was known for her steady kindness and for the way she cared deeply for her family and friends. Rachel had a gentle spirit and a warm heart that made others feel welcome and valued. Whether offering a listening ear, sharing a thoughtful conversation, or simply being present for those she loved, she gave of herself freely and sincerely.
She treasured the time spent with her family and found joy in life’s simple moments. Rachel’s love, strength, and caring nature will be remembered by all who knew her.
She will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her mother, Sherry (Don) Glasgow; her father, Leslie Hartsell; her husband, Mark Ethridge of the home; her son, Luke (Katherine) of Tuckerman; her daughter, Lauren Ethridge of Tuckerman; her brother, Jason Wayne Hartsell of Tuckerman; her sister, Cristel McPherson of Conway; and many nieces, nephews and a lifetime of friends.
Rachel’s wishes were to have no services.
