
Aurellia Ann (Caldwell) Taylor, 79, of Newport, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, creativity, and quiet devotion to the things she loved most.
Born on December 26, 1946, in Newport, Aurellia was the cherished daughter of Floyd and Zelta Jane (Lamb) Welsh. She spent her life in the community where she was born and raised, forming lasting connections and friendships along the way.
Aurellia spent many years working at American Lantern as a factory worker, where she was known for her reliability, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. She took pride in doing her job well and was respected by those who worked alongside her.
At home, Aurellia found joy in the things that allowed her to create and care for others. She loved crocheting and spent many hours crafting handmade items that she often shared with family and friends. Whether it was a blanket, a decoration, or a thoughtful gift, her work reflected both her skill and her generosity.
She also had a deep love for gardening and flowers. Aurellia took great pride in her yard, tending her plants carefully and creating a space filled with color and life. Her gardens were a reflection of her patience and nurturing spirit.
Aurellia was especially known for her love of cleaning and her meticulous nature. She kept her home in impeccable condition and paid close attention to even the smallest details. She enjoyed a quiet life, finding happiness in her routines, her hobbies, and the comfort of her home.
She will be remembered for her dedication, her creativity, and the love she showed through her actions. Aurellia’s life was one of simplicity, purpose, and care, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of thirty-seven years, Harold Taylor; her brothers, Charles Caldwell, Daniel Caldwell, Jabo Caldwell, Austin Welsh, and Robert Welsh; her sisters, Inez Dunivan, Wanda Campbell and Beatrice Welsh.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Lowery (Kathy) of Mountain View; her daughter, Pam Epperson (Terry) of Tuckerman;; her grandchildren, Karmen Stover (Andrew) of Tuckerman and Kody Epperson (Shay) of Olyphant; her great-grandchildren, Vaida Epperson, Aliva Crawford, and Zephyr Stover; her sister-in-laws, Patsy Caldwell of Ohio, Ramona Welsh of Heber Springs, and Barbara Welsh of Jacksonport; a special niece, Jane Stump (Tom) of Ohio; a special cousin who was like a sister, Sharon Duvall, and a lifetime of friends and other family members.
Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jim Duvall officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time. Honorary pallbearers are Kody Epperson, Terry Epperson, Andrew Stover, Shay Epperson, Richard Campbell, Frank Lowe, David Campbell, Frank Campbell, Jane Stump, Travis Stump, James Childress and J.M. Dunavin.
