The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB) is bringing back its popular Kids’ College summer enrichment program, offering local students a fun and engaging educational experience with this year’s theme, “Down On The Farm.”
Designed for students entering grades 1 through 6, Kids’ College provides hands-on learning opportunities through interactive classes that encourage creativity, exploration, and skill-building in a supportive campus environment.
Students entering grades 1–3 will attend July 6–10, while students entering grades 4–6 will participate July 13–17. Each session runs from 8 a.m. to noon.
Participants will choose two classes, one during First Period (8:00–9:45 a.m.) and one during Second Period (10:15 a.m.–12:00 p.m.). Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and some are offered only once, making early registration especially important.
Course options include a wide variety of engaging, hands-on experiences such as LEGO Robotics Farm Bot Challenge, Homestead Cooking & Farm Crafts, Barnyard Creations, Farm-tastic Discoveries, and 3, 2, 1 Blast Off! Students can also explore topics like wellness, coding, healthcare basics, and creative building through offerings like Wiggles & Wellness, The Health Hangout, The Scrub Club, and Down on the Farm with Coding & Cubelets.
Some classes are offered during both periods, giving students more flexibility when building their schedule, while others are only available once.
The cost to attend is $129 per student. A limited number of partial scholarships are available for qualifying families. For scholarship information, call 870-612-2082.
Space in Kids’ College is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
