Bench warrant issued for Independence County woman who failed to appear on drug charge

A bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of an Independence County woman who failed to appear on a drug charge.

Court information says Sierra Williams, 28, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, having been in possession of a baggie of what tested positive as methamphetamine.

The court docs say Williams failed to appear for her May 26 court date. She had been set at liberty upon the condition that she appear in court May 26 to answer to the drug possession charge.

The court information says she will not be able to bond out of jail once she is taken into custody.
