Obituary: Margaret Louise Duncan Brokaw

Margaret Louise Duncan Brokaw, 82 of Batesville passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at her home.  She was born on October 4, 1937, in Tuckerman to Earl and Veda Duncan.  She was a retired nurse’s aide for Woodlawn Nursing Home and Gray’s Hospital both in Batesville.  She was a Christian and of the Pentecostal faith.  She was a member of New Faith Gospel Church in Batesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Brokaw; son Randall Brokaw; sister, Debbie Duncan and brother-in-law, Wilson Muth.

Survivors include two sons, Allen Brokaw (Michelle) and Freeman Brokaw (Jackie) both of Cave City; two daughters, Agnes Melcher (Robin) and Diane Girtman (Gary) both of Batesville; three brothers, Raymond Duncan (Virginia) of Pomona, Missouri, Rayburn Duncan (Rita) of Topeka, Kansas and Lynn Duncan (Donna) of Marshfield, Missouri four sisters, Delores Clark (Lee) of Mountain View, Janette Gillihan (George) of Melbourne, Juanita Muth of Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Janet Keller (Ricky) of Batesville; and a host of grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at the Weaver’s Chapel Cemetery in Batesville with Bro. Phillip Clark officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 30, 2020, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Brewer, Brandon Brokaw, Clint Brokaw, Josh Brokaw, Preston Holly and Jonathon Manuel.

Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons.
