Jane Martin, 96, of Batesville passed away May 18, 2021.

She was born April 3, 1925, in Agnos, Arkansas to Albert Jacob Coggins and Alice Loudella (Short) Coggins.

Jane was a charter member of the Compass Church with her husband, Clif. Her family was her hobby. She kept up with all of her family, even the extended members. Jane had the best stories and was a great cook. She liked her bling and her birds. As a teenager, she was a member of the Knothole Gang. They were a group that sang at churches and political parties.

Survivors include her son, Curtis Martin (Marcia) of Southside; three daughters, Jo Wright (Roger) of Batesville; Betty Gail Jones (Mickey) of Southside; Alice Jones of Richardson, Texas; eight grandchildren, Ken Jones (Lisa), Steve Jones (Ashley), Luke Wright (Beth), Dan Wright (Robin), Kelly Parks (Aaron), Lacey Moore (Chase), Jacob Martin (Stacey), Jackie Martin; sixteen great-grandchildren, and her 98-year-old cousin, Pearl Roberts of Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clif; and six siblings, Onedia Berg, Violet Humphries, Joan Hill, Noble Coggins, Leslie Coggins, and Jean Coggins.

Pallbearers are Ken Jones, Steve Jones, Luke Wright, Dan Wright, Jacob Martin, Aaron Parks, Chase Moore, Austin Jones, Alec Jones, and Drew Wright.

The funeral service will be held Monday, May 24, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Compass Church in Batesville with Mark McLendon officiating. Compass Church will be live streaming the funeral. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

A visitation will be held Sunday, May 23, 2021, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.
