Funeral details have been announced for two of four people found deceased in rural Stone County on Thursday who authorities say were apparent homicide victims.

A joint service for William Clinton Trammell, 75, and his wife, Sharon Trammell, 72, is scheduled for Thursday, April 28, at 2 p.m., at the Vine Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Mountain View. A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 27, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the church.

On April 21, authorities discovered the bodies of the Trammells inside their home on Arkansas Highway 5. According to the Arkansas State Police, both were apparent victims of gunshot wounds.

About eight hours earlier, Shirley Watters, 77, and her son, James Watters, 55, were discovered dead by a family member in a residence located off Arkansas Highway 5, less than a mile away. State police said evidence was found indicating both individuals had been wounded by gunfire.

Stone County authorities requested the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division investigate the deaths of the four. State police say their agents are investigating the cases independently and will keep the Stone County Sheriff’s Department and prosecuting attorney updated on their findings.

On Friday, a Little Rock television station reported authorities had interviewed an individual, but that person was not considered a suspect at that time. No other information on the deaths has been released by authorities.
