Obituary: Donald Amos Wallace

Donald Amos Wallace, 76, of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Saturday, June 25, 2022, at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born January 21, 1946, the son of Lum S. and Pearlie (Chrisco) Wallace in Luxora, Arkansas.

His parents both preceded him in death, and one daughter, Teresa Fain, one brother, Naaman Wallace, and four sisters: Emogene, Earnestine, Velma and Vernetta.

Donald married Shirley Brooks on Leap Year Day, February 29, 1964, and they have enjoyed 58 years of marriage.

He enjoyed hunting, camping, and time at church with the church family. Donald enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, enjoying life, and his ‶fur babies″ Roxy and Mollie. Donald had one other handsome dude fur baby, Felix.

He spent most of his adult life in Industrial Heating and Air and was a member of NEA Baptist Church in Trumann, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Wallace, one son, Robert Wallace, one daughter, Kimberly Moore all of Harrisburg, one sister, Mildred Overton of Blytheville, Arkansas, eight grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be Friday, July 1 from 12:00 until service time. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 P. M. in Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg. Bro. John Dillinger will conduct the service.

These men will serve as active pallbearers: Robert Wallace, Paul Brooks, Robert Don Wallace, Myles Overton, Zachary Moore, and Jacob Hutchinson. Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
