Edith Patterson, 96, of Batesville passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Circle of Life Hospice Home in Springdale, Arkansas.  She was born December 16, 1927, to Oliver Newton Franks and Ovella Tate.  She was a homemaker and a long-time member of West Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her and to love her.

She is survived by one daughter, Vonita Luster (Randy) of Rogers, Arkansas; a sister, Lois Winningham of Bono, Arkansas; three granddaughters, Desiree Davis of Batesville, Arkansas, Mary Beth Luster of California, Molly Luster of Rogers, Arkansas; a grandson, Daniel Ballard of Batesville, Arkansas; eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Melvin Patterson; one daughter, Andrea Albert; five brothers, J.C. Franks, Floyd Franks, Roy Franks, Clyde Franks, and Joe Franks; four sisters, Hazel Elms, Alphea Love, Bessie Horton and an infant sister, Imogene Franks.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with her nephew, Darrel Elms officiating.  Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Winfred Franks, Danny Franks, Terry Franks, Rich Winningham, Ronny Love and Randy Luster.
