Obituary: Odis Dean Stevens

Odis Dean Stevens, age 85, went home to be with his Lord on April 24, 2026, at his home in Alco, Arkansas. He was born on June 1, 1940, at Roasting Ear Creek to Ulis and Gracie Stevens.

Odis served many years at the National Guard in Marshall and was a bus driver for Timbo School; the kids loved him. In addition to this, he was also exceptional at auto body repair.

He was a member of Blue Mountain Missionary Baptist Church in Timbo and served as their song leader for 18 years. He loved to travel, play music, and sing with his friends. Anyone who knew him knew of his passion for George Jones music, which he spent many hours listening to and singing his songs.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ulis and Gracie Stevens; his beloved wife, Patsy, and his brother, Ray.

He is survived by his son, Ricky Stevens, and Neile, along with their sons, Laken and Jory of Alco, Arkansas; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was a kind and gentle man and will be greatly missed.

Visitation is Monday, April 27, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 AM, with the service following at 11:00 AM at Blue Mountain Missionary Baptist Church in Timbo, Arkansas, with Brothers Daryl Pitts and Junior Barham officiating. Interment will follow the service at Alco Cemetery in Alco, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Keith Ward, Kevin Ward, Coy Ward, David Stevens, Joey Brewer, and Russell Gilbert.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
