Obituary: Larry Paul Carter

Larry Paul Carter, 75, of Sulphur Rock, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026.

He was born on June 7, 1950, in Batesville, Arkansas to Paul Carter and Lenora (Caldwell) Carter.

Larry was a man of strong integrity, known for his honesty, pride, and unwavering devotion to his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. A dedicated and hardworking man, Larry owned and operated C&W Parts and also spent 37 years with John Deere Implement, working beside his son for 34 years at the parts counter, where he built lasting friendships and took great pride in serving the farming community. He had a deep love for his cattle and found great joy in working alongside local farmers.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Beverly (Olinger) Carter of the home; one son, Michael Paul Carter (Mary) of Sulphur Rock; one daughter, Norah (Rodney Tilley) of Greenbrier; two brothers, Rickey Carter (Glenda) of Sulphur Rock, and Ronny Carter (Nancy) of Sulphur Rock; five grandchildren, Logan Weller, Ethan Weller, Aspen Treadway, Kayla Smart, Bobby Smart; seven great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William H. “Bill” Carter.

Pallbearers are Scott Carter, Chris Fagan, Matt Carter, Brad Carter, Jon Carter, Brent Carter, and Blake Carter.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Compass Church. Burial will follow at Harvison Cemetery on Carters Ridge Rd in Sulphur Rock.

Visitation will be from noon until the service time.
