David Romans, 72, of Weiner, Arkansas, departed this life at his residence in Weiner on Sunday, May 17, 2026. David was born on March 22, 1954, in Tennessee, the son of Fred V. and Ida Bell (Harbin) Romans.
His parents have preceded him in death: two brothers, Jimmy Romans and Howard Vernon Romans, and one sister, Glynda Wallace.
He married Helen Hewitt on April 18, 2026. He farmed most of his life, served in the United States Army, and was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. David enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to church, and working in the yard.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Hewitt) Romans of the home in Weiner, one daughter, Penny Tatum of Mississippi, two brothers: Richard Romans and John Romans of Louisiana, one sister, Elloise Tyree of Texas, and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 19, at 10:00 A. M. until service time at Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 A. M. with Bro. Eddie Yarbrough.
These men will serve as Active Pallbearers: Joey Easter, Matt Fahr, Doug Lancaster, George Keeling, Ronnie Northcutt, and “Slim” Alvis Bly. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church or Weiner Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
