Obituary: Terry Paul Luster

Terry Paul Luster, of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the age of 67. He was born on July 30, 1958, in Tipton, Indiana, the son of George and Lottie (Powell) Luster.

Mr. Luster graduated from McCrory High School. On July 2, 1981, he married the love of his life, Miss Sabrina Whitaker, and together they have spent forty-four wonderful years together.

Mr. Luster was a hard worker and a lifelong construction professional. He owned and operated Luster Construction for several years. With his strong work ethic, he helped shape homes, businesses, and communities.

Mr. Luster was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and running his hunting dogs. He loved his loyal dogs, never leaving the house without them. Mr. Luster was accomplished in archery, winning many awards. He enjoyed tending to his garden and was the best fish cooker. Above all, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Luster is preceded in death by one sister, Julie Holloway, and his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Sabrina Luster, of the home; his son, Terry Keith Luster and wife, Jennifer, of Southside; his daughter, Sarah Fergerson and husband, Brandon, of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, Ryland Ware, Gracelyn Ware, Kira Luster, Amelia Luster, and Annalee Fergerson; and his dogs, Batman and Stella. Also surviving Mr. Luster is his brother, David Wayne Luster and wife, Juanita, of Gourdneck; one sister, Mary Bible, of Weiner; and a special nephew, Justin Mullinax and wife, Skylar, of Tupelo.

In accordance with Mr. Luster’s wishes, his family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
