
Grab an umbrella and keep an eye on the sky. The National Weather Service is forecasting a stretch of unsettled weather for the region, beginning with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms on Monday.
While Monday will remain mostly cloudy and warm with a high near 84 degrees, wind gusts could reach 25 mph. However, the most significant rainfall is expected overnight. Forecasters say the chance of precipitation jumps to 70% Monday night, with rainfall amounts between a quarter and half an inch possible.
The wet weather is expected to linger into Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms are likely after 10 a.m., though the high will drop slightly to near 79 degrees. Tuesday night remains damp with a 60% chance of rain and a low around 59.
Conditions are expected to clear by mid-week. Wednesday will see a high of 73 degrees with only a 20% chance of an afternoon shower. By Wednesday night, skies will be partly cloudy as temperatures drop to a cool 48 degrees.
